Third Thursdays Begin April 20th

A new tradition is coming to Tacony! Starting April 20th, Tacony Third Thursdays will be hosted on the third Thursday of every month at the Costello Boxing Gym (6846 Torresdale Avenue) from 6-9 PM. This is a great opportunity to spend some time outdoors and engage with the Tacony community. Third Thursdays will feature fun activities for the whole family, a food truck and outdoor eating area, produce and flowers, and live music! There will also be tables manned by local organizations and politicians.

For delicious food this month, we’re excited to host Nick’s Roast Beef Food Truck! Nick’s has been operating since 1969, serving Philly's favorite roast beef and American comfort foods. If preparing your own food is more your game, you’ll be excited to know that the Capriotti Brothers will be a part of Third Thursdays with fresh, seasonal produce available. For your shopping pleasure, Sanders Sign Co. will be selling custom and hand painted signs that are just too cool to miss out on!

In addition to food and shopping, this month’s Third Thursday will feature live music from Mike McCullough and his son, a popular local acoustic duo. There will also be family-friendly activities, like button-making with the Tacony LAB! Keep an eye on social media to find out what other activities and organizations you might expect to see there. At the Tacony CDC, we’re looking forward to the first of many Third Thursdays and can’t wait to see the community come out and enjoy time outdoors!
